Electronic Skin Needling
At Cosmetic Images we have been performing skin needling and dermal rolling treatments for more than 3 years now. Over this time we have changed our protocols several times to improve outcomes and more and more rollers have become available in Australia giving us choice. These treatments have provided excellent results but were occasionally disappointing in very fine lines, open pores and other very superficial concerns.
A few years ago Sheri-lee began providing RPRP or Regenlab Patient reconstituted Plasma treatments and found the results fantastic but the downtime for patients was often a week or more of bruising and swelling which prohibited some patients from completing their course of 3 treatments and certainly led Sheri-lee to be less enthusiastic about the treatments. We began our Regeneroll trial with 6 volunteers which when completed proved to be fantastic. All of the trial patients have had fantastic results even from the first treatment although the best sustainable results are achieved with a course of 3 treatments each done 6 to 8 weeks apart.
Although we were very happy with the handheld rollers we have again improved our protocol by adopting ECIT instead of hand held rollers. ECIT is Electronic Collagen Induction Therapy. It allows deeper, cleaner puncturing of the skin with less trauma but more result. Cosmetic Images is one of only a few clinics in Australia to be accredited by the American ECIT Academy. Like it's predecessor, Regeneroll, ECIT can be done alone or combined with Regen PRP or Plasma for even better results.
Blood is taken from the patient and spun in a centrifuge to separate the pure plasma from the red blood cells. This plasma is then put back into the patient's dermis using the needle roller which stimulates neocollagenesis and tissue tightening and thickening. The plasma heightens all of the cellular activity as it contains all of the blood's enzymes, protein growth factors and antioxidants in the purest concentrated form. The remainder of the plasma is infused into the tissue using a galvanic current, antioxidants and oxygen infusion. The result is stimulation of collagen, hydration and increased skin function which appears as smoother, refined pores, resolving of scarring, pigmentation and fine lines. All patients have been delighted with their results and with using their active skin care we are sure results will last 18 months to 2 years.
From a global skin health point of view ECIT, with or without Plasma, is the one treatment protocol that addresses all skin concerns at once whereas other modalities may only concentrate on one issue at a time. The results for baggy under eye skin, crepy necks and chests and thinning hand and arm skin using ECIT is unsurpassed by any other non-invasive treatment.
